A much harder knowledge test
From 10 illustrated questions (7 correct to pass) to 50 text-only questions with 45 correct needed (90%).
Residence certificate required
People without resident registration, such as tourists, can no longer apply. You need a copy of your 住民票.
Pass rates collapsed
The knowledge-test pass rate fell from 92.5% (2024) to 42.8% (Oct–Dec 2025).

No. These are practice questions we wrote from Japan's official rules of the road (交通の教則). The real exam questions are not published.
